I will take more pictures this week of the finished bathrooms but honestly I don't remember the seams bothering me , once it was grouted. If your seams bother you, you can always put down larger throw rugs such as a seagrass runner to visually take your eye away from the seams.
Let me know if I can help you any further. Have a great day!jvw homehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07230377482668130410noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-473190990516494049.post-54784597377401473282013-01-14T21:01:01.417-06:002013-01-14T21:01:01.417-06:00I have a question about the penny tiles you showe...I have a question about the penny tiles you showed (black ceiling and white on floors). We are in Austin and just had penny rounds with dark grout installed in our boys' bathroom and we aren't happy with the way it looks. You can see seam lines and the 12x12" squares that they come in - instead of a seamless installation. I was searching for other examples online and came across your pictures. It looks to me like you can see a lot of seams in the white penny rounds - I can see the big square sheets. Are you happy with this? Is your client? Is that just the way penny rounds go?
Thanks!
LizAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-473190990516494049.post-45211338833889350282012-10-07T11:36:28.279-05:002012-10-07T11:36:28.279-05:00Hi Amy,
The blue paint chips in the pic represent ...Hi Amy,
The blue paint chips in the pic represent the paint on the cabinets of the guest bathroom. The pebble tiles are a glass tile, but for a more budget friendly version, ck your local Lowes or Home Depot. They carry nice pebble tile alternatives . (I used one from Home Depot in our current farmhouse remodel)
Now to incorporate your fave colors, assuming you're doing white walls?? Here's what I'd suggest: stock your bathroom with plush white towels (budget friendly ones at TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Home Goods, etc.) and then get them monogrammed with a thread in your fave aqua, blues or greens. You could also add a mirror in reclaimed woods that have an aqua/blue/green wood patina on them. Add a chandelier, sconce lighting or vanity lighting in an aqua color. They have some VERY cool lights on ETSY where artists are making them out of Ball Jars...go to Etsy and search "ball jar".
Hope this helps and I'd love to see your version when you're finished.
My online E-design services are always a cost friendly alternative when you can't hire a designer into your home. Would love to help you further if you need more assistance. Please check my website for details.
Have a great weekend,
Jjvw homehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07230377482668130410noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-473190990516494049.post-75336571757587951892012-10-07T10:46:58.607-05:002012-10-07T10:46:58.607-05:00LOVE the peak into these fabulous homes.

It basically "oils" seals the soapstone permanently and keeps the finish alot longer. I've had Carrera marble in the kitchen before also...I'd say Carrera and Soapstone are very similar on maintenance...so if you don't mind a few imperfections/maintenance, then its a cool look!jvw homehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07230377482668130410noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-473190990516494049.post-68824547365058886192012-09-24T20:42:24.688-05:002012-09-24T20:42:24.688-05:00Hi, are you planning on making a trip to Round Top...Hi, are you planning on making a trip to Round Top to do a little Antique SHopping it is the most fun and you can find some incredible stuff.
